Colomers – Verges (Stretch 1)
This is the most popular descent, an easy, fun, family-friendly route, where you can enjoy lush vegetation on both banks of the river or even spot amphibians, birds and mammals depending on the time of the year.
This descent lasts about 2 hours.
Our kayaks hold 2 to 3 people (or 2 adults and 2 small children). They are very steady but because of their low hull it it is difficult to avoid some splashing during the descent.
Once you have reached your destination on the river, our free shuttle shall take you back to the Kayak del Ter base.
Other ways to come back: hiking, doing Nordic Walking, cycling or riding a segway
Why not take the scenic route through the flatland of L’Empordà, a huge open space, surrounded by the mountain range of the Montgrí, the Gavarres, Begur’s mountains and outstanding views of the Pyrenees? Discover ethnographic elements which, throughout time, have shaped our landscape, as well as cottages, country houses, mills, locks, irrigation channels, fields, sand dunes, the pre-Romanic shrine of Sant Romanç de les Arenes and its medieval settling.
This route ends with a stroll through the medieval area of Colomers.
